Connection. Dialogue. Support

A solid home-school partnership for children’s future

Connection

Nautilus schools are located close to workplace environments, offering a unique convenience for working parents who want to remain close to their children throughout their development. This must not be mistaken for an interference in the nursery’s and primary school’s daily activities. It’s rather a home-school partnership that provides logistical advantages and allows parents – through appropriate means – to get a clear sense of the environment their children are growing up in. This connection is expressed in our manifesto. Being there for parents (not just from the company but also from the local community) also means that our schools remain open for longer than other schools to help them maintain a healthy work-family balance.

Communication

Parents and professionals can discuss their children’s day and educators’ comments, using the Transparent Classroom app, which summarises the highlights of the day. In addition, the Head of School is available to answer parents’ questions about Nautilus and children’s acclimatisation, development, and daily life in the school. Twice a year, parents will receive reports and can discuss their children’s progress with the educators during parent-teacher conferences. Moreover, a monthly newsletter will inform them about all school events.

    Support

Children need to feel safe to truly enjoy the school experience. That’s why it’s crucial for our teaching team to build a relationship of mutual trust with parents by supporting and listening to them and sharing information with them. Once a term, we organise group gatherings open to parents to discuss topics revolving around education, parenthood, and early childhood. We also hold breakfasts and workshops to give parents the chance to exchange ideas and see what school life is like up close.
